Our Coaching Philosophy
Coaches will continue the development of technique and game understanding in our players.
This is the first progression towards MEN’S 11-a-side football where the matches are highly COMPETITIVE & OFTEN OFFER A STEP UP IN THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE GAME.
Maintaining core skills is paramount as players start to develop physically with aspirations of progressing to the first team (men’s/women’s football).
Coaches will have a desired WAY-TO-PLAY and players should be able to offer flexibility in terms of playing positions and roles within the team.
Team strategies & style(s) of play now come to the forefront and players will be expected to follow instructions and adapt to different scenarios.
Increased player responsibility and expectation for commitment is encouraged to achieve success.
Training WILL maintain a HIGH LEVEL OF INTENSITY.

Training sessions will focus on developing the following areas:
Attacking Techniques:
Linking basic attacking skills
Running with the ball
Moving without the ball
Shooting (Includes correcting striking deficiencies and improving angle and power of shot)
Passing combinations & patterns
Defensive Techniques:
Basic shape and formation
Movements (basic stance and running)
Ball interceptions
Pressing the play
Players will develop an appreciation of training as a means of improving. There will be a focus at this age on encouraging respect for others and assessing the positive aspects of having teammates. Players will develop courage and be bold in their play.
We will always promote good behavior and respect for others in all our players
